Will this profession suit you?

This course will prepare you for an international middle management position in the world of e-commerce. As an e-commerce manager you are responsible for several projects, or you could even start your own brand. You have to be able to manage marketing strategies and you are also responsible for the online, as well as offline sales of products and services. Furthermore, you will build, expand and maintain your own network.

This course is a bilingual education. During this course you will learn to design and realize an online shop, which will prepare you to work in the world of online shops. At the end of this course, you will be the professional when it comes to online trends, marketing and sales.

About this course

International E-Commerce Specialist is a three-year fulltime education. During the first year, you will follow general subjects, after which you will have to choose whether to pursue a vocational degree in e-commerce, business or marketing. Once your internship of 20 weeks at the start of the second year has ended, we will focus on working with digital platforms like Conva, Airtable, Mendix and Salesforce. In the third year, you will expand your in-depth knowledge of software. There will also be guest speakers and we will visit companies, followed by another 15-week internship to complete your education.

What will you learn?

The focus of this education is online sales, marketing and e-commerce. The foundation of this education is the development of fundamental skills (e.g. Analytics, Eagerness for knowledge, Growth Hacking), soft skills (e.g. Teamwork, Initiative, Customer attentiveness, Creativity) and hard skills (e.g. Omnichannel strategies, Online marketing strategies, Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and software, Convert optimization). Furthermore, the general subjects such as Calculus, English and Dutch will be integrated into the other subjects. Additionally, in courses like citizenship, physical education and personal studies we will pay attention to your personal development and to the development of all skills necessary to become the international e-commerce manager every company would like to employ!

Where will you be able to work?

As e-commerce is an upcoming trend in business, there are lots of job opportunities in this field. After finishing this education, you will be able to work at an e-commerce department in a great amount of companies, doing business internationally.

Admission

You are always welcome to enrol in one of our intermediate vocational courses after you have completed your general secondary education. Your prior education determines the level you can enrol in. Some courses have additional requirements. If you do not have a pre-vocational secondary school diploma or a document issued by your higher general secondary school that shows that you have passed year 3, you will not be able to enrol.

Special programme

This is a specific programme within the regular course. You will have to meet certain entry requirements to be admitted to this programme, which do not apply when you want to enrol in the regular course.

Introductory activities

This course requires you to participate in certain introductory activities. You will receive more information about these activities after your application for enrolment.

Apart from the legally determined tuition/course fees, you will have to take into account additional costs for learning materials and perhaps some extras.

Learning materials
For most courses, you will need books. A laptop might also be a specific requirement.
Depending on your course, you might also need special software or clothing.

Extras that are not mandatory
All curriculums are designed to help you enter the labour market as well prepared as possible. This may mean that we organise field trips or master classes for which you will have to pay an additional charge.
We also believe it is important for you to buy your own tools or devices so that you can practise after school hours.
We keep the costs as low as possible without compromising quality. Any additional costs are determined in consultation with the student representative board. If the costs are a problem and you need help, there are several forms of financial support.
